Director of Institute for Continuous Education (ICE) of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Alhaja Mulikat Bolajoko Aliyu has awarded selected staff of the Polytechnic who had served the institution diligently as ICE staff and also distributed magnetic boards to Principal officers and Directorates in the Institution.
The award was borne out of the good gesture of the Director to celebrate and honour the legendary explorations of the staff in their life time.
Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Lateef Olatunji in his opening address commended the tremendous efforts of ICE Director in assisting the Management to develop the institution.
Dr. Olatunji described Mrs. Aliyu as a woman of repute who is always committed and dedicated for the welfarism, growth and development of staff and the Polytechnic.
One of the award recipients, Reverend Sunday Adeyemo appreciated the Director of ICE for her desire to recognize people that have contributed to the growth and development of the directorate. He further acknowledged the Rector for creating enabling environment and support for the Directorate to move the Polytechnic forward.
Another recipient, Director of IJMB, Pastor Kunle Israel praised Mrs. Aliyu for her kind and generous gesture to change the face of the Directorate for good.
Also, Dr. Kamoru Kadiri, Director of Degree and Affiliate programs expressed satisfaction in the leadership of the Rector and Director of ICE. As one of the recipients of magnetic board, he described Mrs. Aliyu as a virtuous woman living an exemplary live. He added that the ICE Director has performed credibly well.
Mrs. Aliyu in her response commended Dr. Olatunji’s led Management and pledged to continue to cater for the welfare of staff, students and at the same time to support the Management with notable and worthwhile projects in the Polytechnic.
Deputy Registrar of ICE, Mr. Olusegun Oyesola thanked the Rector and his able lieutenants for the unalloyed support granted to the Director and staff of the Directorate at large.
The first batch of the award ceremony was held at the Library and Information Conference Hall at Main Campus while the second batch was held at ICE Board room in Mini campus.
