Nationnewslead reports that The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State has officially released her academic calendar for 2020/2021 academic session.
Consequent upon the directive of the Federal Government and the Ministry of Education that all institutions should reopen, the Management in response to the directive has officially opened the Polytechnic for academic activities in strict compliance with all Covid-19 protocols as stated by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Federal Ministry of Education.
The release signed by the Polytechnic spokesman, Olayinka Iroye reads in part:
“With the approval of academic calendar for 2020/2021 academic session at the Academic Board meeting of Monday 25th January, 2021, all fresh and returning students are hereby notified that the session has commenced with lectures for all students.”
Staff and students are therefore requested to adhere strictly to all preventive measures and protocols such as compulsory wearing of facemasks on campuses, submission to temperature checks and use of hand washing and sanitizing facilities placed in strategic locations across the two campuses of the Polytechnic, avoidance of overcrowding places including classrooms and offices, adherence to all other non-pharmaceutical COVID-19 protocols, restrictions and containment measures to reduce the spread of the pandemic and ensure safety for everyone.”
