Minister of State for Youths Development, Ayodele Olawande has stated that about 10,000 youths have benefited from Federal government empowerment programs including, entrepreneurship skills.
The initiative according to Olawande is in the ministry’s commitment towards the development of youths in the country.
In a statement personally signed by the minister and made available to Nigerian Tribune, it was stated that the project was held in a dedication to the Olawande’s vision.
According to the statement, the ministry plans to revolutionize lives of Nigerian youths through some projects including, Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) initiative from which over Seven million Nigerian youths will benefit.
“This dynamic platform is dedicated to empowering youths through education and skill-building, with the ambitious goal of positively impacting millions of lives across Nigeria.
“The comprehensive program includes job fairs, online and live classes, a vibrant digital community, start-up support, youth engagement in politics, and a lifetime resource hub. By providing access to these resources and opportunities, NiYA is set to unlock the potential of Nigerian youths and equip them for success.
According to the statement, the minister is aimed at driving transformative initiatives to empower Nigerian youths.
“With a goal of generating five million jobs over the next four years, NiYA is poised to make a significant impact on the country’s economy and society.
“This is a testament to the Federal Ministry of Youth’s commitment to investing in the future of Nigeria’s young people,” the statement reads.
