The Federal Government has discussed power sector reforms with the World Bank, aimed at improving electricity access across the nation to accelerate infrastructure development and economic growth.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, highlighted this when he met with Guangzhe Chen, Vice President for Infrastructure at the World Bank, in a significant step towards transforming Nigeria’s power sector.

In a statement on Friday, Mohammed Manga, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Federal Ministry of Finance, said, “During the meeting, which focused on addressing ongoing challenges in the sector, Mr. Edun emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to the Mission 300 project, a joint initiative by the World Bank and the African Development Bank aimed at providing electricity access to 300 million people across Africa by 2030.”
