Four people lost their lives and several others were critically injured in a single vehicle crash on the Oyo/Ogbomoso road on Friday night.
The crash occurred in front of the Baptist Seminary, Ogbomoso, and involved an articulated vehicle carrying chemicals.
An eyewitness stated that the driver lost control when the vehicle hit a bad portion of the road at 11 PM.
The vehicle then overturned multiple times before coming to a stop on its side.
Tragically, four individuals died at the scene, while the injured were taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased have been returned to their families for burial.
At the time of the report, security personnel and officials from the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) were present to manage traffic and ensure safety.
Following the incident, residents of Ogbomoso and commuters have expressed their concerns about the poor condition of the old Ogbomoso road, urging the authorities to take urgent action to address the current state of the road.
