
Many Nigerians have thrown supports for Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest forward, Taiwo Awoniyi, over his recent health challenge.
Recall that INFORMATION NIGERIA reported that Awoniyi, who was placed in an induced coma, following a urgent surgery for serious abdominal injury suffered complication during Forest’s 2-2 Premier League draw with Leicester City on Sunday.

The Nigeria international, collided with the post in the 88th minute as he attempted to get on the end of a cross from Anthony Elanga.

He had surgery on Monday night and remains in hospital, with the rest of the procedure set to be completed on Wednesday.

Report from the club indicated that his life is not at risk, though the procedure was deemed urgent and necessary due to the potentially fatal nature of the injury.
As news of Awoniyi’s condition spread, an outpouring of prayers and well-wishes flooded in from across the football world.
Reacting to the development, Victor Osimhen, Galatasaray’s striker via his official X handle on Wednesday, wished Awoniyi quick recovery, saying: “Payers up for you my brother. God will never leave you.”
Also praying, former Super Eagles and Chelsea player, Mikel Obi took to social media, adding: “Praying for Taiwo.”
Rasheedat Ajibade, a Nigerian international and Atlético Madrid forward, shared a heartfelt message, she said: “Our hearts are heavy as we hold Taiwo Awoniyi in our prayers. Just days ago, he shared his light and strength with us on the Rash 4 Christ podcast. Now, as he fights in this difficult moment, we stand with him and his family in faith and hope.
