The Governor Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago has commiserated with the government and people of Borno State over the recent terrorist attack that killed several farmers and many others missing at the Dumba community in the state.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor described the attack as heinous and horrific.
He said the news of the attack is indeed a sad one to every responsible Nigerian.
Governor Bago, while commending the efforts of the security agents in the fight against terrorism in the country, enjoined them to do more to ensure lasting peace in the society.
He assured the government of Borno State of the continued support of his administration.
The Governor sympathised with the families of the victims and prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.
He also prayed that those missing would be safely reunited with their families.
