

The Bauchi state governor and the Chairman of the Governors Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP Bala Mohammed has led other elected governors on the platform of the party on a condolence visit to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, following the passing of his elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde at his Agodi GRA residence on Wednesday.
Mohammed expressed the forum’s heartfelt sympathies and described the late Engr. Sunday Makinde as a man who lived a fulfilled life having earned a glorious career in the Nigerian Navy before his successful retirement.

He praised Governor Makinde for his resilience and leadership despite the personal loss and assured him of the forum’s solidarity during this difficult period.

In his response, Governor Makinde thanked the forum for their support and prayers.
He acknowledged the emotional and moral encouragement provided by his colleagues, stating that their presence reaffirmed the unity and brotherhood among PDP governors.
Members of the entourage include the Rvers state governor and vice chairman of the Forum, Siminalayi Fubara.
