Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state has inaugurated the Agro Rangers consolidation Squad of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) and charged the corps to be resilient in the fight against brigandage in the state.
Governor Lawal who performed the inauguration of the Agro Rangers consolidation squad, extolled the doggedness of the corps in the fight against insecurity and crime waves in Zamfara State.
He charged the rangers to be resilient and steadfast in ensuring that peace returns permanently to Zamfara State.
The Governor who was dressed in the Agro Rangers uniform assured to give maximum support to the corps in all facets to enable it to perform optimally.
In his welcome address, Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command Sani Mustapha inaugurates the Agro Rangers’ Consolidation Squad in Gusau Zamfara State.
Commandant Sani Mustapha appraised the Agro Rangers for their gallantry during the one-month refresher training which was geared towards preparing them for a holistic operational activity in line with their mandates.
He said that the Agro Rangers are prepared to ensure a peaceful atmosphere within the hinterlands of the state and to broker peace between farmers and herders in the rural areas.
