

Governor of Osun State, Senator Asiwaju Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has expressed his appreciation for the proactivity of the Osun Amotekun Corps in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment during the recently concluded Local Government elections in the state.
Governor Adeleke made the remarks during a meeting with the Forum of Chairmen of the State Independent Electoral Commissions (SIECs) at the Government House in Osogbo, following the declaration of the Local Government election results. The forum, which included chairmen from various states across the country, gathered in Osun State to observe and witness the smooth conduct of the election.

While commending the Osun Amotekun Corps, begged for three hand clapping for the Commander and the governor highlighted the critical role of local security forces in maintaining peace and stability at the grassroots level.
He emphasized the importance of supporting state-based security initiatives, such as Amotekun, to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens across the state.
Governor Adeleke extended his gratitude to the Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, as well as other members of the corps’ management and personnel. He lauded their dedication to upholding the safety and well-being of the people of Osun State, assuring them of the government’s continued support.
The governor urged the Amotekun Corps to remain steadfast in their professionalism and commitment to protecting the citizens and residents of Osun, ensuring that the peace and security established during the election period are maintained for the future.
