

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has sworn-in Bukar Tijjani as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Zulum also sworn-in three advisers and one permanent secretary.

The governor expressed confidence that the appointees would add value in his administration and assist in restoring the state for greater development.
According to him, the appointments are based on their track record of experience, proven integrity, hard work and dedication to service.
The Governor urged them to be disciplined, loyal and committed to their duties, saying that all hands must be on deck to take the state to greater height.
Zulum urged the appointees to maintain the noble trust and confidence reposed in them.
He urged the public and all other stakeholders to support the newly sworn-in SSG, CoS and other appointees so that they can do their work excellently in rebuilding the state.
Zulum explained that this is the last time SSG would be appointed without conducting examination and interviews, adding that the next SSG and CoS must sit for exams and interviews to be qualified for those positions.
