Some Nigerians from all six geopolitical zones in the country expressed their confidence in the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, and the Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, over their efforts in improving national security.
A cross-section of Nigerians, under the aegis of the Association of Concerned Citizens in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, unanimously shared their appreciation for the improved security measures put in place by the ministers during a press conference at the weekend in Abuja.
A representative from the North West region, Comr. Nuh’d Zaharaddeen, said: “North West roads are now secured. Before they emerged as ministers, the reverse was the case.
“Therefore, I want to use this opportunity to endorse and commend Alhaji Abubakar Badaru and Dr Bello Matawalle and also pray that President Bola Tinubu retains these people for their efforts in contributing to the primary role of his government of securing and protecting lives.”
In the same vein, a representative from the South West, Mr Abiola Peter, said: “Ever since both men came on board, they have done very well. In my zone, for instance, there is a place called Igboho in Oyo State. It is a town known for insecurity, but since they were appointed ministers, cases have reduced.”
Corroborating, a representative from North Central, Mr Muhammed Hamza, said: “Prior to their appointments, the region had faced a lot of insecurity ranging from banditry to kidnapping, but in the advent of this regime, we no longer hear of such cases like before.”
Also, a representative of the Niger Delta region, Abraham Ekokotu, said: “I want to call on Mr President and Nigerians to disregard any form of propaganda against the Honourable Minister, State for Defence.
From where I came from, South Africa is known for high militant activities, but since this man assumed this position, you can see there is no more kidnapping, and it has been brought to a minimum.”
A representative of the North Eastern part of Nigeria, Awal Aliyu, said: “I sit before you to endorse the Honourable Ministers of Defence for their good efforts, accountability, and success in wiping out insecurity and insurgency in my region.
We can all testify that Maiduguri, Yobe, Bauch, and the like are living fine and well, and we commend the efforts of the Minister and the President himself. Schools are restored, businesses are back, and people are living in freedom.”
