With three years remaining in the current administration until 2027, the Nationwide Tinubu Connect Associates (NTCA) on Monday declared that there is “no vacancy in Aso Rock,” emphasizing the continuity of President Bola Tinubu in office until 2031.

The declaration was made by the Convener of NTCA, Hon. Henry Nwanbueze, during a crucial meeting in Abuja attended by state and zonal coordinators of the NTCA.

Nwanbueze underscored the critical importance of unity and constructive efforts as fundamental pillars to sustain Nigeria’s stability. He called on Nigerians to set aside their differences and pray for the country and the President to successfully navigate these challenging times.

He also cautioned against protests that could threaten the nation’s peace, development, and unity, advocating instead for dialogue and productive engagement as better alternatives to bitterness and unnecessary political manipulation disguised as protests under the guise of constitutional rights.

“Those interested in the 2027 presidency should understand that there is no vacancy in Aso Rock,” he declared.

Nwanbueze further emphasized that what is currently needed is a collective effort for national success, stating that “the success of the ‘Renewed Hope’ Agenda requires collective effort from all Nigerians.”

The NTCA Convener also called for patience and faith in the government’s plans, urging the youth to be part of the solution rather than being manipulated by unscrupulous and disgruntled political elements.

“In these difficult times, prayer and unity are what our nation needs now. We must come together to support our president and ensure his vision for Nigeria is realized. By doing so, we can avoid the pitfalls of unrest and work towards a brighter future,” he said.

He also highlighted the President’s agricultural initiatives as an opportunity for youth engagement amid the hunger situation, suggesting that if young people are fully involved in food production across various value chains, hunger would be drastically reduced.

He placed significant emphasis on the importance of agricultural initiatives to combat hunger and make food more affordable, encouraging the youth to participate in agricultural schemes across all states, which could significantly reduce food scarcity and lower prices.

“Our agricultural sector has immense potential. By embracing farming and related activities, we can tackle hunger, create jobs, and contribute to the overall stability of our economy,” he added.

In an appeal to the National Assembly, Comrade Segun Nelson, Secretary General of the organization, reiterated the Convener’s position, calling on young people to remain focused and ensure their demands are measurable.

He urged the National Assembly to cut down its budgets in support of President Tinubu, who has advocated for reducing the cost of governance.

He also maintained that the agricultural sector remains the primary avenue to address numerous challenges, including food affordability, accessibility, and availability, while creating massive jobs for young people and women.

“At this critical juncture, our focus should be on constructive efforts and supporting our leaders.

“Agriculture can be a cornerstone of our economy, providing sustenance and employment. Let’s work together to achieve this vision.”

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from the state coordinators to spread the message of hope and solidarity among the youth in their regions.

They pledged to support the President and promote agricultural initiatives, believing in the power of collective effort and positive action.

Similarly, the group showered praise on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, who made history by involving a serving President of Nigeria in the commissioning of laudable projects of national importance. President Bola Tinubu moved around the Abuja city, commissioning projects executed by the Wike-led FCT administration to mark his one year in office.

According to the group, the President was visibly pleased with the work Wike had done as a game changer in FCT development, as he went around to commission roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.

The group also noted that, based on media reports, many residents in the FCT suburbs have praised Wike’s performance, particularly in road infrastructure and security, which mirrored his achievements as Governor of Rivers State for eight years. The same impact is currently being felt in Abuja, leading the group to refer to Wike as one of the ‘star boys’ of the Tinubu-led administration.
