A middle-aged woman named Theresa Awuhe was tragically murdered in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, on Saturday night.
According to reports, Awuhe was returning from her shop when she was targeted by hoodlums who had been trailing her.
The attackers caught up with her near Villa Suite and shot her dead.
It was reported that nothing was stolen from her, and the assailants fled the scene immediately after the murder.
Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident, stating, “The case was reported to the police, and investigation is ongoing.”
