The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KPWB) has announced 1st January 2025 as the closing date for the collection of Hajj deposits from intending pilgrims in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sulaiman A. Deideri.
Intending pilgrims are strongly encouraged to complete their deposits on or before 1st January 2025, as late payments may result in exclusion from the 2025 Hajj exercise.

He disclosed, “This announcement was made by the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, during a joint meeting with Board staff and Local Government Hajj Center Officers held today in his office.
Alhaji Danbappa emphasised that the deadline aligns with the 2025 Hajj Calendar issued by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which mandates all states to remit their intending pilgrims’ details to the Commission on or before 7th January 2025.
He stressed the importance of adhering to this directive to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj operation.
The Director General expressed concern over the current low sales of Hajj seats and urged Local Government Hajj Center Officers to intensify efforts to meet their seat allocation targets.
He called for innovative strategies to boost seat sales and fulfill the state’s obligations within the stipulated timeframe.
