Nationnewslead report that The newly appointed acting Rector of The Federal Polytechnic Offa, Mr. Eghe M. Igbinehi has paid a courtesy visit to Olofa of Offa, Oba Muhammadu Mufutau Gbadamosi Ajagungbade l Esuwoye ll on Wednesday 18th of January 2023.
The acting Rector who assumed duty on Tuesday 17th of January 2023 visited the palace with other Principal Officers to officially inform the paramount ruler of the new interim administration and solicit for the royal support.
Mr. Igbinehi in his remark described Olofa of Offa as a custodian of peace and harmony. He commends the Monarch for his consistent fatherly role and efforts toward institutional development.
Speaking further, The acting Rector recalled the kind gestures of Olofa towards the growth and development of the Polytechnic during his tenure as the Deputy Rector Academics under the Late Rector, Dr. Mufutau Olatinwo. He, therefore, solicited for continuous cordial relationships from the royalty and the host community.
In his welcome remarks, the Olofa of Offa commended the Acting Rector for his prompt and timely visitation. Olofa described the courtesy visit as a positive omen for successful administration.
The Monarch further assured the interim administration of his maximum support and that of the community.
The Kabiyesi charged the Management to expedite action on the installation of the transformer he donated to the Polytechnic to solve the epileptic power supply.
The Paramount traditional ruler finally reiterated his support for the new management like he has always been doing to the previous ones. He prayed to God to grant the new acting Rector guidance, knowledge, and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Polytechnic successfully.
Principal officers present were: the Registrar, Mr. Gabriel Soko, and The Polytechnic Bursar, Mr. Azeez Amidu. Other management staff present were the Director of Physical Planning and Project Monitoring, Arc. Fatai Olatinwo, Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Olayinka Iroye, and Chief Security Officer, Prince Moshood Ibrahim.
