The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has announced it has improved electricity supply to its Band A customers, achieving a cumulative minimum of 620 hours of electricity supply over the past two months.
According to the official statement by the IBEDC, this accomplishment follows a rigorous performance evaluation monitored by the regulator.
Since April, IBEDC has progressively upgraded its infrastructure, initially starting with 30 Band A feeders and subsequently receiving approval to expand by an additional 45 feeders, totalling 83 feeders comprising 34 at 11kV and 49 at 33kV.
Engr. Francis Agoha, Acting Managing Director, affirmed IBEDC’s commitment to meeting customer service expectations: “We are dedicated to enhancing our network upgrades within our coverage areas to ensure reliable electricity supply. We are equally focused on improving service delivery to other tariff bands.”
