The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), a Transnational Intergovernmental Organisation based in Zurich, Switzerland, has appointed Nigerian Industrialist and Renowned Security Expert, Otunba Adejare Adegbenro, as High Commissioner with immediate effect to serve in the IHRC Foreign Special Mission, preventing illegal migration and human trafficking
Speaking during the special decoration and presentation of his certificate as a High Commissioner in Abuja, the IHRC Ambassador-at-Large and Head of Diplomatic Mission in Nigeria, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Duru Hezekiah, said the appointment was an appraisal of the IHRC’s Europe-Africa Cooperation Agenda, initiated by the Secretary-General to engender peace and security, democracy, human rights, development, and sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
Ambassador Hezekiah said the appointment is an attestation to his antecedents, sense of patriotism, and tenacity of purpose in nation-building, urging him to implore his expertise and skills in the prevention of illegal migration and human trafficking, foster international collaborations, and provide strategic guidance on matters of global significance to the organisation.
Otunba Ambassador Adegbenro is the Acting Director-General of the National Commission Against the Proliferation of Arms, Light Weapons, and Pipeline Vandalism (NATCOM) and Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral International Limited.
