The foundation laying ceremony of the Ajemba of Ijemba Palace took place today, marking a significant milestone for the Ijemba Jesa community. The ceremony was led by the Lord Bishop of Ilesa Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Asaju, and was attended by the Dean of the Diocese, Reverend Fademi Nationnewslead report.

The town’s leadership played a crucial role in the event, with the Asiwaju of Ijemba Jesa, Barrister Nathaniel Oginni, spearheading the proceedings. The occasion saw the presence of all the chiefs, with High Chief Risa of Ijemba Jesa, Chief Matthew Oginni, leading the traditional council. Among the dignitaries was Iya Oba Olori Mary Adewale.

Oba Adewale Oluwabukunmi Adeleke, the Alowolodu II, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the sons and daughters of the Ijemba kingdom. He extended special thanks to the Lord Bishop and the Asiwaju for their unwavering support. In his speech, Oba Adeleke called on all families and well-wishers to support this monumental project, emphasizing its importance for the future of Ijemba Jesa.

The ceremony was a display of unity and collective spirit, reflecting the community’s commitment to preserving and enhancing their cultural heritage. The foundation laying of the Ajemba of Ijemba Palace symbolizes a new chapter in the history of Ijemba Jesa, promising growth and prosperity for the kingdom.
