Today, the Iloko Ijesa Muslim Community convened at the revered Alayeluwa Oba Dr. Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe’s palace for the annual Ramadan lecture. With the theme “Unity,” the 2024 Ramadan lecture, spearheaded by the esteemed Chief Imam of Iloko Ijesa, Alhaji Ibrahim Ismail, resonated with a call for solidarity among the community members.
In his impassioned address, Chief Imam Ismail emphasized the importance of unity, drawing on the wisdom of past generations. He urged the youth to embrace humility and strive to be a source of pride for the elderly, cautioning against the dangers of affiliating with negative influences such as gangs and substance abuse, which can tragically lead to premature death.

The Owaloko, in his gracious acknowledgment of the Muslim community’s initiative, extended his gratitude for their lecture and support. He further encouraged inclusivity by urging the organizers to involve Christian believers in future similar gatherings, fostering harmony and understanding among different faiths.
The event garnered notable attendance, including revered figures such as Uztha Muyideen Naibul Imam, Uzthaz Ibrahim, Uzthaz Abdulkabeer Olorunisola, Alhaji Saheed Abdulsalam, and Uztaz Busari Saheed. Among the distinguished guests were also High Chief J.A Olatunji (Baba Odofin), High Chief G.A Satiregun (Baba Aro), Chief Elufadeju Eyebiokin (Baba Sawe), Chief Adesuyi Bibire (Yeye Saba), Chief Ogungbangbe Wuraola (Yeyero), Chief Owolabi Juliana (Yeye Salotun), Chief Olowokere Apeke (Yeye Dole), Chief Fapojuwo Adetola (Yeyelodan), Chief Eyebiokin Abike (Otunlodan), Chief Awopetu Temilade (Eketa Lodan), Prince Ahmed Ogungbangbe, and a host of other respected community leaders.
