“Some former leaders of Bauchi connived to make sure that the leadership of the nation saw me as a problem in governance. They have forgotten that I am a warrior, the Kauran Daular Usmaniyyah,” he stated.

He stressed, “My responsibility is service to the people, that is my inheritance, that is my commonwealth. You showed me love, you gave me trust, and by the grace of Allah, we have this mandate back”.

The Governor however drew the attention of the crowd that, “You can see the leaders have their own way of dissifring issues. I’m grateful to the Nigerian Judiciary, especially the Supreme Court. I’m grateful to the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who believes in good governance, allowing the rule of law to persist irrespective of lies, mischieves, and chickenery that have been perpetrated against me”.

The Governor, therefore vowed that no amount of mischief would bring his government down, and dedicated his Supreme Court victory to the entire people of Bauchi state who overwhelmingly voted him into office, contending that, “Henceforth, nobody with ulterior motives will come from somewhere to lead the people of the state by the grace of God”.

According to him, Bauchi state has enough human capital, and prayed to God to have his successor emerge from within its indigenes come 2027 general elections who would continue with the good governance he has started in the areas of health, education, and infrastructure.

According to him, “We are competing with the benefit of hintsight of knowledge, it is a knowledge-driven economy. I know people are hungry and angry, but in Bauchi the situation is better because we have projects and programmes everywhere.”

“We want to leverage on what we have with all our competitive advantages in agriculture, SMEs and so on and so forth so that we can put foods on the table”.

Bala Mohammed also assured of working closely with the Federal Government and its agencies to bring good governance to Bauchi State and equally collaborate with the international community to bring wealth and prosperity to the state, in addition to working with stakeholders at home to make sure that there is good government.

“We will chose a good leader, better leader I meant, so that he can continue with the very good work. I will continue to be humble in the firm believe that humility is the key word, but I will not be stupid and imbaside, I will no longer tolerate sabotage, people that are sabotaging us, and doing things with impunity.”

Bala Mohammed, also assured that he will respect everybody, especially the traditional rulers, the Ulamas and other religious leaders for effective and efficient governance.

“People will see a different Bala Mohammed in governance. But for the good of not taking the laws into our hands, we will use the carrot and stick approach without allowing anybody to be above the law,” he added.
