A Nigerian Senator of the 9th Assembly, Senator Istifanus Gyang, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the inclusion of Akwanga to Jos dualisation project in the 2025 budget.
In a statement signed by its Media Assistant, Barrister Evelyn Pulle, Senator Gyang said the passionate appeal was a follow-up to his earlier appeals to the previous administration in the 9th Assembly.
He emphasised that the dualisation of the road was very important and strategic, being a link to the North East, South East, and Abuja, adding the road has been in a deplorable state of disrepair for a very long time and therefore requires urgent intervention to relieve commuters of the current hardship of plying the road.
According to him, if completed, the project will add value to security along the entire axis of the road and as well boost the economy of all the connecting states and towns.
“Whereas the Buhari administration is credited for undertaking the Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Makurdi Road project, it will be most welcome and historic for the Akwanga-Jos road dualisation project to be executed by the Tinubu administration.”
Senator Gyang further mentioned that undertaking the Akwanga-Jos Road project will be widely celebrated and greeted with joy and enthusiasm, adding that it will also be a legacy that is worth the investment and commitment of President Tinubu’s administration.
