“The initiative is an extension of the ILERA EKO health insurance scheme which is a flagship program of the Lagos State Government designed to offer affordable and quality healthcare to all Lagosians.
“This scheme has been pivotal in transforming healthcare delivery across the state. With this collaboration, the program reaches vulnerable populations in Itire-Ikate LCDA, expanding its impact through equity funding.
“A unique aspect of this initiative is its focus on long-term sustainability. Beyond providing access to healthcare, the initiative equips residents with tools and resources for ongoing health management.
“This comprehensive approach ensures better health outcomes and empowers the community to thrive.”
LASHMA, the implementing partner, has assured residents of a smooth and efficient enrolment process.
Participants in the ILERA EKO health insurance scheme, under the EKOSHA Equity Plan, will enjoy a range of healthcare services.
These include outpatient consultations, maternal and child healthcare, emergency medical services, and management of chronic conditions. This comprehensive coverage addresses immediate and long-term health needs.
