The Chairman of the Jigawa State All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Aminu Gumel, congratulated Governor Malam Umar Namadi, the Party caucus, and all members of the party for the overwhelming victory in the recently concluded local government council elections held in the state.
This was conveyed in a press statement personally signed in Dutse, the state capital. The chairman also commended the people in the state for their peaceful conduct during the local council polls.
Gumel stated that the governor and the people in the state deserve commendation for their love of the state and maximum support for the APC, which led to the party claiming all 27 council chairmen and councillors. He said, “This is a testimony of Malam Umar Namadi’s good leadership and the people’s acceptance of the party.”
He added, “Jigawa people have confidence in our party and our leader, Governor Namadi, and his 12-point agenda designed to make Jigawa Great. Therefore, they cannot make the mistake of voting for a party that lacks a manifesto or a clear blueprint for the development of Jigawa state.”
The election was conducted peacefully, and the winners of the 27 local government chairmanships will be sworn in on Monday, 7th October 2024.
