420 new students have been matriculated at the School of Undergraduate Studies of Jigawa State College of Education Gumel to undergo an undergraduate programme in the collage in affiliation with Bayero University Kano.
Speaking at matriculation ceremony the collage provost, Dr Nura Muhammad Ringim said the students is the 11th set of the undergraduate matriculated in the college as parts of it’s efforts to produce qualified teachers in the state and county at large.
The provost noted that “the this 420 new admitted students are to be matriculated were undergo degrees programme in different educational and teaching disciplines after qualifying all the admission conditions and processes of the college in affiliation with Bayero University Kano”.

Dr Nura Muhammad explained that the college has all the capacity and facilities to train undergraduate students to obtain quality degree qualifications that would compete with any institution in the country.
He therefore commended the state government for the immediate measures taken to improve educational systems especially the review and increased of the annual scholarship awards for students.
Dr Muhammad further applauded the state government for fully supporting the college to pursue for additional five new degree programs approved by the senate of Bayero University Kano.
In his remarks, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano, represented by Professor Salihu Lawan, the Dean of the Islamic Studies and Sharia Department, expressed delight at the dedication and commitment of the staff in diligently fulfilling their responsibilities.
He described the college as the first and best among institutions conducting affiliated programs with Bayero University.
