A member representing Fagge federal constituency, Barrister Mohammed Bello Shehu, in his efforts to alleviate the hardships faced by people, has disbursed over N10 million to individuals from his constituency, enabling them to embark on small-scale businesses aimed at achieving self-reliance.
Speaking on Monday during the ceremony held at Fagge Model Primary School in Kano, Barrister Mohammed Bello Shehu stated that this gesture aims to empower individuals to become self-reliant.
The monetary donations ranged from N100,000 to N200,000 for each beneficiary of the gesture. Barrister Mohammed Bello Shehu mentioned that 80 individuals from Fagge C ward and Rijiyar Lemo, comprising both women and men, would benefit from this empowerment.

He further disclosed, “As we pledged during our campaign to empower women and youths with finances to start small-scale businesses, today, we are fulfilling that promise.”
Barrister Shehu emphasized that some recipients would receive N200,000, while others would get N100,000 or N50,000. He urged the beneficiaries to make optimal use of the financial empowerment.
“I hope that, by this time next year, the beneficiaries of this gesture will be able to support others. I pray to Allah Subhanahahu wata’alah to bless your businesses and bring more prosperity to our community, Kano State, and the nation at large.”
He added that by the end of March this year, other wards of Fagge Federal Constituency would also benefit from the same gesture.
In her remarks, Zuwaira Abubakar Tarauni, Women Leader NNPP Kano State, urged the beneficiaries of the gesture to make maximum use of the empowerment.
“Ensure you embark on small-scale businesses so that you can support yourself and your family. I encourage you not to relent in pursuing your dreams.”
