The outgoing President of Kutigi Old Students Association (KUOSA), Idris Legbo Science College Kutigi, in Lavun local government area of Niger State, Engr. Abdullahi Isah Jankara has reiterated the decision of the Old Students Association of the School to complement the Niger State Government’s efforts towards improving educational standards in the state.
Engr. Isah Jankara, a former Comptroller of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Niger State, gave the assurance recently at the Annual General Meeting and Election of executives of the Kutigi Old Students Association held in Minna, the state capital.
In his valedictory remarks, the outgoing president of the association explained that the alma mater will continue to remain effective, as all ex-students of the school remain committed to its development.
He applauded the collective efforts of the executive, calling on all parents and guardians to enrol their children and wards into the school to ensure their education.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected and sworn-in President of KUOSA, Engineer Abdulrahman Ahmed, assured all members of continuity and improvement on agricultural policy, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition sponsorship and other developmental drives of the incumbent Governor Mohamed Umaru Bago-led administration in the state
The newly elected executives for affirmation include Engr. Umar D. Sule, Dr. Yahaya Madaki, and Mohammed Baba Alhassan as VP 1. 2 and 3, while Mohammed Mustapha Abdullahi as Secretary General, Ibrahim Usman Kolo Treasurer, Suleiman Kodogi, Assistant Fin Sec, and Hassan Abubakar PRO, among others.
Earlier, the association held its 2024 Presidential Award Night, where former Governor of Niger State, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, received awards for total renovation, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for securing and reopening the school after two years of closure, and some distinguished members for dedication and support.
Meanwhile, all former Head Boys were also presented with awards.
