The Kwara State Executive Committee members of Grassroots Mobilization for Asiwaju Tinubu and Shettima (G-MATS) were at the Kwara State All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat today Thursday September 15, 2022 for a courtesy visit to the State Chairman of the Party Prince Sunday Fagbemi and other officials of the party.
Prince Fagbemi, while welcoming the delegation of G-MATS commenced the initiatives of the founders and thanked the group for identifying with the presidential aspiration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima. He expressed the optimism that APC will be victorious in the coming general elections. He urged G-MATS to ensure they build and sustain solid mobilization structures in all polling units, wards and local governments in the state.
“Your work is mostly at the ward levels, you need to partner with the party to mobilize effectively and ensure victory for all APC candidates”
Prince Fagbemi assured G-MATS that everyone that works hard for the success of the party will be rewarded. “Gone are the days when people who work hard will be abandoned. If you work hard to ensure the victory of APC in your unit, in your ward, in your various local governments, the reward will be there.”
Prince Fagbemi urged the support group to ensure their impacts are felt in all areas necessary and work with the party and other groups that are also working for Tinubu in the state.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of G-MATS, Wole Alawode disclosed that the group was in the State APC Secretariat to formally introduce G-MATS to the state APC executive. “We bring special greetings from our national coordinator Dr Umar Tanko Yakassai as well as from all our members all over the country. We are a group that is already recognized by the National Secretariat of the APC and we are in virtually all the state in Nigeria. In Kwara, we have our Excos in all the Local Governments already and we want to assure you that we are ready to partner with APC at the state level in mobilization, during campaigns and the election proper to ensure Asiwaju and all other APC candidates win.
Alawode commended the state Chairman of APC for effectively steering the party out of controversy and ensuring stability which is now being enjoyed.
