Retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Sam Shoemate disclosed on Friday on the Shawn Ryan Show that he had received an email from Matthew Livelsberger, the Green Beret suspect in the Cybertruck explosion case.
Tribune Online reports that one person was confirmed dead, and seven others were injured after a Cybertruck caught fire in the valet area of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas.
Shoemate revealed alarming details from the email, in which Livelsberger alleged that China was using advanced drones equipped with “gravitic propulsion systems” to monitor the East Coast of the United States, describing this activity as a critical threat to national security.

Livelsberger reportedly compared the drones’ operations to China’s earlier deployment of spy balloons, one of which was shot down off the South Carolina coast in 2023.
According to the email, he claimed, “What we have been seeing with ‘drones’ is the operational use of gravitic propulsion systems powered aircraft by, most recently, China on the East Coast, but throughout history, the U.S. Only we and China have this capability. China has been launching them from the Atlantic from submarines for years, but this activity recently has picked up.”
The email’s mention of “gravitic propulsion systems” prompted discussions online. A citizen journalist, @82ndairborneBT on X shared a detailed explanation of the technology, describing it as, “A spacecraft having a triangular hull with vertical electrostatic line charges on each corner that produce a horizontal electric field parallel to the sides of the hull. This field, interacting with a plane wave emitted by antennas on the side of the hull, generate a force per volume combining both lift and propulsion.”
Livelsberger further warned of a potential attack on the East Coast, claiming that Chinese drones had “unlimited payload capacity” and could target critical sites, including the White House. He allegedly wrote, “It’s checkmate.”
The email also included Livelsberger’s claims of being monitored by U.S. authorities, stating that he was being followed by the FBI or the Department of Homeland Security.
He expressed concerns about being prevented from crossing into Mexico but indicated confidence in his ability to evade capture, referencing his possession of a “massive VBIED,” an acronym Shoemate clarified as meaning a car bomb.
Livelsberger in the email also alleged having knowledge of U.S. war crimes during airstrikes in Nimruz Province, Afghanistan, in 2019.
He wrote, “I have knowledge of this program and also war crimes that were covered up during airstrikes in Nimruz Province Afghanistan in 2019 by the admin, DoD, DEA, and CIA. I conducted targeting for these strikes of over 125 buildings (65 were struck because of CIVCAS) that killed hundreds of civilians in a single day.”
