Kindly let me know if there is any link between diet and cancer risk.

Certain foods can contribute to cancer development, while others can help protect against it. How much a person consumes a particular food or drink affects the risk of cancer development. For example, processed meats like bacon, sausage and deli meats are linked to an increased risk of colorectal and stomach cancer.

Eating grilled or charcoaled meats is also associated with stomach cancer. Foods Preserved by Salting like salted fish, salted meat and pickled vegetables are associated with stomach cancer.

While high-fat diets do not always lead to cancer, they are associated with an increased risk of colorectal and prostate cancer.

While diets high in fruits lower cancer risk, excessive alcohol intake can lead to stomach, colorectal, esophageal, liver, breast, and several head and neck cancers. The more alcohol a person drinks (including regularly over time), the higher the risk.
