The Acting Chairman of Irewole local government, Hon. Adeboye Opeyemi is using this medium to direct all staff members of the local government to resume to work with immediate effect.
This directive follows the unfortunate event where the life of the late Hon. Remi Abass, the executive chairman of Irewole local government was cut short by political assailants when he resumed office at the local government secretariat, following his reinstatement as the executive chairman of the local government by the court order given by the appellate court sitting in Akure which led to public outcry against the evil doers.
I am using this medium to urge on the Commissioner of Police, Osun State command to intensify efforts in arresting the perpetrators of this dastard act and face the full wrath of law.
I am authoritatively assuring the local government staff that normalcy has returned while I am also commending them for their dedication and commitment to the rule of law.
I urge all staff members to return to their duty posts and resume their normal duties as the local government is committed to providing essential services to our citizens, and we cannot afford any further disruptions.
In conclusion, the local government council is committed to maintaining open communication with the general public.
