A cleric and Provost of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Seminary, Ile Ife, Pastor Ayo Olaniyi, has called on the well-to-do in the society to be unsparing in their relationship with God, while also doing everything humanly possible to alleviate the plight of the less privileged, to truly enjoy God’s favour.
Giving the admonition at the 30th-anniversary thanksgiving held by the Caxton Joe Group in Lagos, recently, the cleric noted that besides serving God diligently, taking care of the needy in society is also one of the ways any individual, especially the affluent, can truly enjoy God’s blessings.
Defining the different ways an individual can serve God, Pastor Olaniyi insisted that no activity dedicated to promoting the kingdom of God will go unrewarded.
While congratulating the Chairman of the CaxtonJoe Group, Pastor Segun Caxton Fasuyi, on the Group’s celebration of its three decades of existence, the cleric noted that one of the staying powers of the Group had been its founder’s unwavering commitment to the enhancement of the kingdom.
“I’ve known Pastor Fasuyi for some time now, and since knowing him, I’ve had no regrets. This is because he and every family member are passionate about the church.
“His attitude to church planting is quite different. While many will build a church and begin to lord over such a church, Pastor Fasuyi builds and moves on.
“For instance, most of the churches he built and donated to CAC, he doesn’t even know what their financial activities look like”, Pastor Olaniyi stated.
While praying for the continued exploits of the Group, Pastor Olaniyi charged the CaxtonJoe boss to be unrelenting in his efforts at depopulating the kingdom of darkness.
Pastor Fasuyi, who was accompanied by his wife, Titilayo, and other members of the family, attributed the company’s growth to his unflinching faith in God, and support from his immediate family members, and some fiercely loyal and honest members of staff of the Group.
He also used the occasion to recognize some of the group’s staff, including his driver, for their contributions to the growth of the company over the past three decades.
