The former Chairman Board of the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria (LACN) and Governor Seyi Makinde’s Special Counsel to Chief Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN), has joined other well-wishers to congratulate the governor on his victory in the just concluded election, describing it as a well-deserved victory.

Makinde was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday in Ibadan, the state capital, after winning in 31 local government areas with a total of 563,756 votes to defeat his closest rival, Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who won in two local government areas and scored 256,685 votes.
Ayorinde, who is a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, in his congratulatory message, described Makinde’s re-election as well deserved, adding that the people of Oyo State will not regret their choice.
According to him, with the electoral victory, Makinde and his team would move Oyo State to greater heights, describing the election as fair and honest exercise that permitted the full expression of the people’s sovereign will.
According to him, the people of Oyo State have spoken loud and clear by placing their confidence in Makinde to move the State to the next level.
He added that the state would achieve more greatness with Makinde at the helm of affairs for the next four years.
While congratulating the governor, Ayorinde said the victory is a victory for the people, adding that “I’m very happy that the people have overwhelmingly elected a caring and loving leader like Makinde, I urge them to stand by him throughout.
“I call on both Senator Folarin and Cheif Bayo Adelabu to see the election as a contest where there must be a winner, and rather than see themselves as losers, they should join hands with the Governor to move the state forward.
“The voice of the people is the voice of God. Our people have resoundingly insisted that Makinde remains their preferred driver for the journey ahead. His government has done a lot to bring developments to the State.
“More importantly, congratulations to the people of Oyo State for the wisdom and courage shown in deciding that the best of all the candidates was elected. Engineer Makinde is the best man to lead us into the future,” he added.
According to the senior lawyer, the election outcome shows that Governor Seyi Makinde has done very well, in the last four years, as governor of Oyo State, adding that his victory gives hope for our democracy.
Ayorinde said that not only the Oyo people are celebrating Makinde’s remarkable achievements but the entire country because citizens are speaking good of him and wishing that he was their State governor.
“He is indeed transforming the social, political, and economic fortune of Oyo State and bringing abundant prosperity to the land,” Ayorinde added.
He also congratulates members of the State House of Assembly and urged them to enact laws for the good of the people.
