Actor, Titi Kuti popularly known as Ade Tiger has revealed that many doubted his capacity as an actor to pull off an epic character, also noting that playing Adigun in ‘Anikulapo’ was a challenging and exciting role for him.
He made this known while speaking exclusively with R.
In his words “Playing the role Adigun in Anikulapo: Rise of the scepter was challenging for me being a traditional role, but I knew I had to bring my A-game considering the fact that Anikulapo is a big movie on screens.”
“I was willing the extra mile across the board to absorb the character. I am a Yoruba boy, very proud of my heritage, so I took this role quite personal because this is a footprint in the sand of time with a project that celebrates my culture so richly.”
He stated further that “any had also initially doubted my capacity as an actor to pull off an epic character and thought it out of my league of versatility. It was also an opportunity for me to take on that challenge head on. I believe the results speak for itself now.
Speaking further he said the movie Anikulapo is just starting as it is said to be bigger than Game of Thrones and also hinting that King of boys is set to be back on screens later this year.
“Anikulapo story does leave room for continuity, there are also strong considerations from Netflix based on the overwhelming demand from their viewers, Kunle Afolanyan has also said the movie will be bigger than game of thrones, so there is a strong possibility we will have several more season over the next 5 years, we will leave it at that for now. But one thing is sure, King of Boys is Back later this year for season2, so they will likely be seeing Ade Tiger again first,” he added.
