The 23rd Anniversary Lecture and Awards of the Maritime Watch will take place on Saturday, September 21st in Lagos.
According to organisers of the programme, the theme of this year’s lecture is ‘Arms Smuggling and the Security Challenge in Nigeria: The Role of Nigeria Customs Service’.
The lecture will be delivered by the Comptroller-l General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, as the Guest Speaker.
Mr. Salu Olakunle Ibraheem, Chairman/CEO, Brazo Nigeria Limited is expected to chair the event while the Special Guests of Honour will be the Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr. Dayo Mobereola; Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho; CEO, KAF Aluminium Ventures Limited, Alhaji Sulaiman Olaseinde; and Barrister (Chief) Adekunle Funmilayo, a legal luminary.
“This is 23 years of our publication and so many people have assisted and contributed in many ways to our growth. The awards conferment on these notable Nigerians is a recognition of their unique roles,” a statement signed by Prince Shola Mekusi, Publisher/CEO, Maritime Watch revealed.
