Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, alongside his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, received an electrifying reception as they arrived in Ondo West Local Government on their campaign tour.
Thousands of enthusiastic supporters gathered to celebrate the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidates with chants, dances, and acrobatics throughout the community.
The visit featured three major events: a rally, a visit to the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Dr. Victor Ademefun Adesimbo Kiladejo Jilo III, and the inauguration of an ultra-modern public motor park.
The motor park is a constituency project by Hon. Abiola Makinde, the lawmaker representing Ondo East/West federal constituency and the Director-General of the Ondo State Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa Campaign Organisation.
During the visit to the palace, Oba Kiladejo praised Governor Aiyedatiwa’s exemplary leadership and reaffirmed the confidence of the Ondo Kingdom in his continued vision to drive development across the state. The Osemawe assured Aiyedatiwa of his and his people’s support, encouraging the Governor to sustain his progressive initiatives.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Governor Aiyedatiwa pledged never to take the support of the Ondo Kingdom for granted. He highlighted his administration’s commitment to transforming Ondo West and called on the people to mobilize and cast their votes in his favor on November 16. The Governor outlined plans to prioritize Ondo West in future infrastructural projects, urging residents to back his vision with their votes.
The event was attended by prominent party leaders and stakeholders across the state and local government. Notable attendees included the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji Landmark; APC Ondo State Party Chairman, Ade Adetimehin; Ondo Central Senator, Hon. Adeniyi Adegbomire, SAN; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Iranola Akinlaja; and Senator Ajayi Borofice.

Other attendees included Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, representing all Special Advisers to the Governor; Chief Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju and Hon. Abiola Oladapo, representing all members of the Ondo State House of Assembly present at the event; Hon. Agboola Kelly, representing party elders; and Hon. Onidare Sunday Bukunmi (OSB), representing serving committee members. Many other leaders were also in attendance.
At the inauguration of the new motor park at Ife Garage, Governor Aiyedatiwa lauded Hon. Makinde’s dedication to his constituency, commending his impactful projects that serve both his Federal Constituency and the wider Ondo State community.
Speaking at the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted his administration’s efforts, including the ongoing recruitment of health professionals to serve across the state’s 203 wards.
While addressing party faithful at Litaye and Laje, Governor Aiyedatiwa assured the crowd that their communities’ needs are well recognized and will be prioritized by his administration. He emphasized his commitment to delivering essential projects and improvements that reflect the community’s aspirations.
He said, “Every concern you’ve raised is important to us, and each has been carefully noted. Our mission is to ensure that every community feels the impact of this government, and I’m here to personally ensure that we understand and act on your needs.”
