Nationnewslead report that The newly elected and inaugurated Chairman of Deejays Association of Nigeria, Osun State chapter, Tajudeen Olatunbosun (DJ TJ) has expressed his gratitude for members of the association for the confidence they have in him for electing him as the chairman of the association.
In a statement signed by the newly elected chairman, Olatunbosun assures his members that under his leadership, he will create platforms for DJs to connect, share experiences, and collaborate with one another.
Part of the statement reads, “First and foremost, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the trust and confidence you have placed in me by electing me as the Chairman of the State DJ Association. It is with great honor and humility that I take on this responsibility, and I am committed to serving all DJs in our state with utmost dedication.
“As the newly elected Chairman, I recognize the importance of the DJ community and its significant contribution to our vibrant cultural landscape. Our state boasts a rich musical heritage, and DJs play a pivotal role in shaping the entertainment industry, enriching our lives with their talent, creativity, and passion for music.
“My primary objective as Chairman is to foster a supportive environment that empowers and uplifts DJs across the state. Together, we will work towards promoting collaboration, professional growth, and the exchange of ideas within our community. I firmly believe that by encouraging unity and providing resources, we can collectively raise the bar of excellence in our craft.
“To achieve these goals, I intend to implement several initiatives:
• Education and Skill Development: We will establish training programs and workshops to enhance the technical skills and musical knowledge of our DJs. By investing in their professional development, we can ensure a higher standard of performance and broaden the range of musical genres and styles represented in our state.
• Networking and Collaboration: I will create platforms for DJs to connect, share experiences, and collaborate with one another. By fostering a spirit of camaraderie and cooperation, we can create opportunities for joint ventures, events, and partnerships that will elevate the DJ community as a whole.
• Advocacy and Representation: It is crucial that the voice of DJs is heard at all relevant forums. I will actively engage with policymakers, event organizers, and industry stakeholders to advocate for the recognition and fair treatment of DJs. By working together, we can address challenges, tackle issues such as licensing and copyright, and create a more conducive environment for our profession.
• Community Outreach: Our commitment extends beyond the DJ community itself. I intend to organize charitable events and community outreach programs to give back to society. By leveraging our platform as DJs, we can make a positive impact on our communities and contribute to social causes.
