The Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, Dr Mukhtar Idi Maiha, has given a thumbs up for modern livestock facilities in Adamawa State.
The Minister, who was on an official visit to the state, visited Sebore Farm in Mayobelwa, Adamawa State.
The Minister, accompanied by the Commissioner, toured the production facility, observing the processing of milk and the production of Admiral Yoghurt, a premium dairy product.
Dr Aminnu Murtalla H. Nyako, the Managing Director who received the minister and his team, showcased the farm’s modern pastoral practices, productivity gains, and job creation initiatives.
The importance of high-quality feed, such as imported grass, in enhancing milk production and livestock health was emphasised.
This visit was part of the Minister’s official tour of Adamawa State, aimed at strengthening collaboration between the federal and state governments to advance sustainable livestock development.
During his tour, Dr. Maiha also visited the upgraded Jambutu Veterinary Hospital, constructed by L-PRES under the supervision of SPC Secondi Alfa T.
This state-of-the-art facility features modern infrastructure, including an operating theatre, for providing specialised veterinary care.
He also reviewed the disease surveillance, research, and development initiatives to enhance livestock health and productivity.
