A Ministerial Nominee, former Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Mattawale has assured not to disappoint President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the new task he will be assigned to.
Mattawale, who was speaking with newsmen at his residence, on Sunday appreciated his nomination to be part of the federal executive council.
The former governor assured that he will display his vast experience and work diligently for the development of Nigeria.
“My nomination is the will of God, I was a Governor but lost to an opposition which I did not expect, Allah in his wisdom brought a new task for me and I assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I will do my best not to disappoint him”.
Mattawale recalled his days as chief executive of Zamfara State, saying security has improved in no small measure during his administration in the state.
According to him, the insurgency has reduced drastically, and incessant killings, banditry, and cattle rustling were close to ending but wonders now the trend has resurfaced due to the insensitivity of the present administration in the state.
He called on the state Governor to focus more on security challenges that bedevil the state and shun away with sentiment and develop the state.
