Tensions ran high on Wednesday at a World Press Conference held at Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos, as Mrs. Abosede Aloba, mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, confronted actor Yomi Fabiyi over claims implicating her other son, Adura Aloba, in the singer’s death.
During the conference, Fabiyi alleged that he had received messages on Instagram from Adura, which he said hinted at the root cause of Mohbad’s untimely demise. This accusation triggered a heated reaction from Mrs. Aloba, who forcefully refuted the claim.

Pointing at Fabiyi in frustration, she exclaimed, “They killed Mohbad, and you want me to lose his brother unjustly. He knows nothing about his brother’s death; do not implicate my son.”

Clearly emotional, the grieving mother added, “I am not happy that I lost Mohbad because if he were alive, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you. They took my precious gift away, and I won’t let them take Adura, too.”
Despite her rebuttal, Fabiyi stood firm, clarifying that his concern lay in the content of the message rather than its sender. He also expressed skepticism about claims of Adura’s non-involvement.
