MTN has opened portal for NIN linkage with sim card.
Nationnewslead reports that, MTN Nigeria, in line with Sim linkage with National Identification Number (NIN) by the Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari and all other network providers in Nigeria are currently working hard to ensure a smooth and easy means for the exercise.
MTN Nigeria disclosed the process of IN linkage with sim card in a statement on its official website, MTN Online which was sighted by Nationnewslead.
The statement reads as thus; “To Capture Customer NIN details.
“Y’ello, Please Note . This is solely for the purpose of collating NIN pending when verification of the submitted NIN is completed through NCC/NIMC, the status of the NIN submitted is unverified; this means you might be required to visit again for verification/validation based on outcome of the verification exercise. Thank you!” the statement added.
Meanwhile, Nationnewslead understands that one thing that would make it tedious for subscribers is if the process of linking it is long and stressful.
Well, to link up your NIN, two things are involved;
✓ You must have gotten your NIN beforehand
✓ If you have not gotten yours before, you have to enrol and get one as soon as possible.
The implication of this is that, if your mobile number is not linked before the 30th of December, 2020, your sim card will be disconnected and you won’t be able to use it again. The good thing is that you can update your NIN at Mtn Official website shared below:
