“I left him and relocated to Ibadan when I could no longer endure his maltreatment of me.
“My lord, my husband still came to my rented apartment in Ibadan to fight me. He also went away with my belongings.
“He came back a month later, broke the door of my apartment down, and went away with the remaining of my valuables.
“My lord, my husband not yet satisfied came to my shop last month to beat me up.
“He stole all the money I made that particular day, and also carted away some of my goods.
“My husband never wanted my progress and has succeeded in ruining me.
“I came to court so that an end would be put to our relationship and that he would be stopped from doing more harm to me.”
The president of the court, Mrs S.M Akintayo, after she had heard the plaintiff, adjourned the case and ordered that the defendant be issued and served a fresh hearing notice.
