Talented singer Betty Lamboi, better known as Jelly Bee, has revealed that 90 percent of her music is inspired by women.

Reflecting on the pivotal role women play in her music, she shared, “Women are very important to my music; 90 percent of my songs are inspired and influenced by them.”

Jelly Bee elaborated on this influence, explaining that her creative process often involves drawing from the diverse experiences and emotions of the women around her.

“From personal relationships to societal roles, women’s stories and struggles deeply resonate with me and significantly shape my music,” she added.

She emphasised that this inspiration helps her craft songs that are both relatable and empowering, resonating with a broad audience.

When asked what sets her apart as an artist, Jelly Bee highlighted her distinct approach: “My sound and style of music make me different. I have a unique way of delivering my messages through music.”

Jelly Bee also looked back on the challenges she has faced throughout her career.

“It’s been very tough, dealing with various people such as producers, DJs, bloggers, promoters, dancers, and handling sleepless nights, trainings, health issues, and financial difficulties,” she recounted.

“Despite these challenges, my family, close friends, and my management at ABangz Originals have been incredibly supportive.”

One of her most memorable career milestones was her first big signing with ABangz Originals, which she describes as a breakthrough that earned her significant recognition in the Sierra Leone Entertainment Industry.

As for future collaborations, Jelly Bee expressed interest in working with several notable artistes, saying, “I would love to collaborate with Shadow Boxer, Drizilik, Natasha, Davido, Olamide, Sarkodie, and many more.”
