The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has congratulated the newly elected executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone D on their successful convention.

In a congratulatory message, Emmanuel Oladele, Vice Chairman of NAUS Ondo State, Campus Monitoring Committee, praised the unity displayed during the convention, reflecting the strong collaborative spirit among students in the zone.

Oladele specifically congratulated Comrade Owolewa Taiwo, the Coordinator, and Comrade Naheem Adegoke-Arab, the Deputy Coordinator, on their election.

He said, “As you embark on this important leadership journey, I urge you to uphold the values of unity, transparency, and fairness, which were the foundations of your election,” Oladele said.

He charged the new executives to prioritize the welfare of students, emphasizing that leadership is about service.

“Always remember that leadership is about service, and your actions should consistently reflect the best interests of all students, regardless of affiliations. Be unbiased in your decisions, and ensure that no student is left behind.”

Oladele encouraged the new leaders to leave a lasting impact that will surpass the achievements of their predecessors.

He continued, “Your legacy should be one of commitment, integrity, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of student life across all campuses in the Southwest.”

The NAUS vice chairman wished the new executives a successful tenure filled with remarkable achievements.

The convention, held in Akure, Ondo State, marked the beginning of a new leadership era for NANS Zone D, comprising students from the Southwest region of Nigeria.

With this development, expectations are high among students for improved welfare and advocacy under the new leadership.
