

The National Directorate of Employment’s (NDE) Zamfara state office has flagged off a 5-day training for 50 women on souvenirs, ties, and dyes under its programme on Small Skills Entrepreneurship (SSE) in the state.
The Zamfara state NDE coordinator, Khadija Hamza Kolo, while flagging off the training in Gusau, the state capital, on Tuesday, said the training was aimed at making women self-employed in small businesses in the state.

According to the state coordinator, Khadija Hamza Kolo, the training was part of the NDE’s programmes to provide job opportunities for women and help them become self-employed in the state
She revealed that the NDE in the state would train 30 women on making souvenirs, including shoes and bags, under its small skills entrepreneur (SSE), while 20 other women would also receive training on tie and dye in the state.
“This training is designed to create employment for women and help them become self-sufficient, particularly unskilled women in the state.”
She advised the beneficiaries of the training to be punctual and ensure they acquired the needed skills for them to be self-employed.
