National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in collaboration with other regulatory agencies is set to release update on the flood across the country.

This is coming barely few hours after the displacement of thousands of households in Kaduna, Maiduguri – Borno State, among others.

Other stakeholders expected to make presentations during the National Emergency Coordination Forum meeting, convened by NEMA, include the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA), the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET), the Nigerian Army, the Federal Ministry of Water Resources (FMINO), and the Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS).

According to the forecast, thunderstorms will begin in the morning over parts of Borno, Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kaduna States. By the afternoon and evening, areas including Kano, Borno, Katsina, Adamawa, Kaduna, Taraba, Zamfara, Kebbi, and Jigawa States are also expected to experience thunderstorms.
