Tesla owner, Elon Musk, has expressed shock following the explosion of a Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning.
Tribune Online reports that the incident which claimed one life and left others injured has continued to spark reactions on social media.
Reacting to the news on X on Wednesday, Musk revealed that such an incident has never happened before.
He assured that the entire Tesla senior team is currently working to unravel the mystery behind the explosion.
The billionaire added that he would keep the public abreast of the latest information on the incident once readily available.
He tweeted, “The whole Tesla senior team is investigating this matter right now. Will post more information as soon as we learn anything. We’ve never seen anything like this.”
The explosion, which occurred in the hotel’s valet area around 8:40 a.m., sent shockwaves across the area, with guests at nearby hotels reporting a deafening blast.
Initial footage suggests fireworks may have been inside the vehicle at the time, although the cause remains under investigation.
Governor Joe Lombardo of Nevada has pledged support to the police, ensuring all necessary resources are made available to aid in the investigation.
