Basorun layinka of oyo, chief ajibola Afonja (IDS) lagunnna and others are hypocrites delaying the process of the new alaafin

relating this to the vacant stool of the most powerful and the king of Yorubas across the world. ( The Alaafin of oyo)
On the 22nd of this month of march make it eleven months the Alaafin sango passed away. Ever since then . the stool of oranyan has been vacant. The whole world understand the fact that when it comes to culture and tradition, oyo is deeper than life. During the reign of the previous Alaafins, the spiritual protocols of selecting new alaafin used to be sometimes three to five years and even more which is understandable then. However, this is not 1465 or 1696. This is 21st century , The beginning of new dawn where every parts of the world has changed their narratives from pre-civilised ways to technology discovery era. Whatever spirituality that has to do with Alaafin has been done and dusted. if the presidential election could be done on Saturday and by Wednesday the winner has been emerged, what is causing delay in selecting the new alaafin. absolutely nothing.
The princes are from the same ruling house and they know themselves. Both paternal and maternal princes know themselves, and the only branch of Agunloye rulling house who can not provide next alaafin know themselves (Gbadegesins) because their grandfather’s brothers are still alive gallantly and qualified. It is only when there are no qualified people from the Agunloyes that the kingmakers can now think of any Gbadegesin. But not when countless qualified princes who are even more closer to the throne by blood than any gbadegesin are still alive . The gbadegesins are great -grandsons of Alaafin siyanbola oladigbolu.
There are only five biological grandsons of late Alaafin Siyanbola oladigbolu on the list of contenders and the whole oyo know them very well. The rest are 4th generation upward and majority of them are maternal princes that’s the fact.

3. Prince kolade siyanbola oladigbolu (grandson)
4. Prince Muyideen akee oladigbolu (grandson)
5. Prince amidu oladigbolu (grandson)
6. Prince Eng. Aabideen oladigbolu (great-Grandson)
6. Prince akeem abiodun ayinde Ladigbolu (great-great-grandson)
7. Prince Lukman olugbenga Ladigbolu (great-great-grandson)
8. Prince sanda Ladigbolu (great-great-grandson)
9. Muyideen Adekunle oladigbolu ( a maternal prince)
The general public should ask the kingmakers if there is no one qualified among this list. Basorun of oyo should not waste our time, He and other members of oyomesi should crown any of our five blue-blood princes .they are all dynastic and competence, no Gbadegesins can become alaafin except none of this princes is qualified. What ever Bashorun of oyo and Oyomesi in council has collected from anyone should not be spent now because they shall return it when it is time.
We are waiting for anything till any length.
We also heard from a reliable source that basorun and his apprentice (lagunnna) have been performing some spiritual activities by sprinkling stuffs around the palace Halls where he’s planning to summon the princes soon. No prince will attend any meeting in the palace or in Basorun’s House until new Alaafin is installed and fortified.
No one will attend any meeting organised by basorun until new alaafin arrives. I am calling on oyo state government via the office of the Commissional for chieftaincy affairs to instruct the Atiba local government chairperson to take over the palace now and no one should have any meeting or any form of gathering in the palace premises. If anything happens to any of our crown princes , be it hold or young. we shall hold government responsible for given opportunity to evil planners to operate in our father’s palace.
Basorun of oyo should go and settle with Oyomesi members,only him can not install a new King. It is the responsibility of Oyomesi in council. Not only him. People should ask him where are the other members, they left him due to his fraudulent attitude which was the Reason why late Alaafin suspended him.
And the brain behind all this is Chief Afonja Ajibola. He has always been an opposition even to the late alaafin. So we are not surprised, he’s known for that. He always work against everything that is not in his favour . He used the same pattern against governor Makinde during last gubernatorial election held last week and God disappointed him. So shall it be for him on the issue of installation of new Alaafin. This is the first time I am seeing a formal bank chairman associating and giving support to a well known serial fraudster to become a monarch. What such a person intends to leave as legacy is what I don’t understand yet. If he do not discontinue this, the new Alaafin could continue where he and late monarch stopped. He should be warned to stop using Bashorun against princes and other members of oyomesi and he should let basorun focus on normal procedures. No one send IDS and basorun to oloja for any negotiation. He should go and manage his life .
I don’t blame Bashorun for taking money from contenders all in name of prayer to get to the stool of their father , of which he has a very bad intentions. I blamed the 85years old Man who was supposed to play the role of a grandfather and coordinate the process from the beginning, instead he is contesting with his grandsons thinking they are all contenders and he’s entitled to the throne like them even at 85years.
I hereby huge the executive government of oyo state under the leadership of His excellency. Eng oluseyi makinde to demand for the answer to the following questions for the sake of fairness, equity and peace.
1. Why other members of oyomesi are not in good time with basorun?
2. What basorun and chief ajibola afonja went to discuss in ashipa?
3. Who sent them?
4. Was baba-iyaji as the head of oyo princes aware of the meeting?
5. Why other members of oyomesi not in the meeting held in ashipa?
6. Do basorun normally visit the ashipa when late Alaafin was alive?
Without this questions been answered, basorun can never be realistic in selecting new alaafin. Continue Reading
