NGO empowers vulnerable students with cash, educational materials in Ibadan in it’s efforts to ensure a better society for all and sundry, irrespective of their social status, a non governmental organization, Fortune Health Plus Initiative (FHePIn) has empowered no fewer than 59 vulnerable pupils with cash and educational materials worth millions of naira in Ibadan, area of Oyo State.
Fortune Health Plus Initiative (FHePIn), founded in 2016, is a dynamic non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to improving the well-being of underserved communities through a holistic approach.
FHePIn has since 2016 been a beacon of hope for countless individuals and communities in need.
In her opening speech at the empowerment programme held at the historical Mapo Hall, Dr Jane Adebusuyi noted that FHePIn is structured to improve and sustained communities through health development and educational intervention.
She maintained that FHePIn is aimed to empower all Nigerians, particularly the poor and the vulnerable ones, and to also improve their standard of living through increased access to health development and education. Stressing that the core value of FHePIn is integrity, collaboration, accountability, ingenuity, and responsibility.
She said, “In oyo state, we selected five differents schools for this empowerment programme, we recently did a healthcare outreach on teeth with the collaboration of oyo state government, the Rotary Club and Nigeria Dental Association. We gave them toothbrushes and toothpastes and we offered them medical advice on how to brush their teeth regularly.
“This year we decide to do something special on education, we are empowering the students with something useful to them, so we have selected 7 students from 7 different schools in Ibadan and we are giving each student the sum of N7,000, 7 exercise books and other writing materials. So in all, the total number of beneficiaries for today’s educational empowerment is 59 students.”
Names of the beneficiaries and their schools are; St. Luke Primary School: Alimi Aishat, oluwadiya Dare, Goodluck Francis, Popoola Ayomide, Abduraman Aliyah, Kareem Uthman, Mohammed Suliyat: St. David Primary School, Dauda Aliat, Akeem Rasheed, Yekeem Hannah, Abolade Desola, Benedict Ngozi, Adekunle Azeez,Arogundade Opeyemi: St. Peter primary school; Akeem Abubaka, Oladiti Tijani,Rasheed Samad, Muideen Tunmise, Quadiri Muritala, Basit Oladejo, Taofeek Fawes: Agbaje Primary School: Owonikoko Afeez, Taofeek Samad, Lukman Amin, Sallam Tawas, Gbadebo Sofiat, Akinade Quadri, Mustapha Mistura: C. A. C Itabaale Olugbode Primary School; Eyitayo Deborah, Sikiru Aminat, Akinyemi Lekan, Adeleke Mustapha, Olufemi Racheal, Sodiq Magus, Mudasiru Azeez: Islamic Primary School; Lawal Ibrahim, Kehinde Azeezat, Ismaheel Muheez, Adekunle Quyum, Adeyemi Ibrahim, Akinpelu Aminat,.Moshood jumai.
“In St. Mary Primary School we have Owolabi Rodiat, Adebayo Faith, Abdulahi Ziyadat, Oseni Soolia, Ajibola Azeezat, Asimolowo Farida, Olalere Taofikat, other beneficiaries from various areas include Akingbade Samson, Oyetunji Dabira, Abdganiy Sururoh, Olaniyi Zainab, Quadri Amusat, Abdulahi O. Hassan, Anifat Shamshudeen, Ayilara Aminat, Mustapha Islamia and Fatimo Lasisi.”
