The leadership of the 10th Niger State House of assembly on Monday confirmed the appointment of Mallam Farouq Isah as the substantive Clerk of the house.
This is following the approval by Niger State Governor Umar Bago.
This information was revealed by Hon. Abdullahi Dzwafu, Chairman of the Niger State House of Assembly Service Commission, during the official presentation of the appointment letter to the newly appointed Clerk.
The brief ceremony took place on Monday in the Commission’s Conference Room.
The Chairman Congratulated the newly appointed Clerk of the House, highlighting that the Commission and the Assembly look forward to working with him and hope he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
Hon. Abdullahi Dzwafu hopes that the Niger State House of Assembly will witness a lot of improvement in the Assembly.

In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed Clerk of the House, Mallam Farouq Umar Isah thanked the State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago for the appointment, he assured the Chairman and Members of the Assembly Service Commission of the opportunity given to him and pledged to do his best in the discharge of his new assignment.
Speaking earlier, the Special Adviser to the the Governor on Assembly Matters, Hon. Mohammed Bello Mariga, commended the State Governor Umaru Bago for the merit-based appointment and urged the new clerk to justify the confidence repose on him.
